Carrier Battle is a service by Perfect Competition that monitors phone plan deals and alerts you when we find one that meets your savings threshold. This policy explains what we collect when you sign up, why we collect it, and how it is handled. We collect only what is needed to run the service and we do not sell your data.

Information We Collect

When you sign up

When you submit the signup form, we collect:

• Email address — to contact you about deals
• Phone number — to reach you if we find a match
• ZIP code — to check coverage in your area before reaching out
• Current carrier and plan details (optional) — to understand what we'd need to beat
• Monthly bill and minimum savings threshold — to filter which deals are worth alerting you about
• Number of lines on your account — to assess deal relevance

Automatically collected

Our server logs standard web request data (IP address, browser type, timestamp, URL). These are used for security and debugging and are not used for tracking or profiling.

Analytics

We use GoatCounter for page-view analytics. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and collects no personal information. It gives us aggregate data (page views, referrers, approximate country) to understand how the site is used.

How We Use Your Information

• To contact you when we find a phone plan deal that meets your savings threshold
• To assess whether a deal is relevant to your area, usage, and current plan
• To understand aggregate signups and improve the service
• To maintain security and investigate abuse

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will not share your details with any carrier without your explicit consent at the time of a specific offer.

When We Contact You

We will only reach out when we have found a deal — either a publicly available plan or a bespoke offer negotiated with a carrier — that meets the savings threshold you set. If we have nothing worth your attention, you will not hear from us.

Data Retention

Your signup information is retained for as long as the service is active and your preferences are relevant. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us and we will remove your data within 30 days.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at ask@perfectcompetition.co. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. GoatCounter operates without cookies. No cookies are set on this site unless you are accessing a part of the service that requires session handling.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
